In the department of Foreign Languages students study the real functions of languages in all areas of modern society and learn to see the world as a mirror, tool, and keeper of cultures.
FFLAS is a close-knit community of involved, talented professors dedicated to their field and knowledge-seeking students. This is the basis of the department’s successful work and its development.
The department’s guiding principle:
The joined study of languages and cultures using said languages as a means of communication.
Languages are inseparable from the world where they exist and that is why they must be studied in unity with the world and cultures of the people using these languages.
